Cotton yarn prices rise further in north India, production in mills up

  • North India's cotton yarn market continued to remain positive today as Delhi and Ludhiana noted a price rise of ₹*-* per kg. Some mills have enough sale booking till the end of March. Mills have ramped up yarn production to fulfil export commitments. However, no movements were seen in Panipat's recycled yarn market due to slow trading activities.

Cotton carded yarn prices increased by &#****;* per kg in Delhi, but combed yarn remained steady. "Spinning mills have enough export orders till the end of March. They have ramped up production to match higher demand. Average production reached ** per cent from ** per cent of their installed capacity,” a trader from Delhi market told Fibre2Fashion

In Delhi, ** count combed yarn was traded at &#****;***-*** per kg (GST extra), ** count combed at &#****;***-*** per kg, ** count carded at &#****;***-*** per kg, and ** count carded at &#****;***-*** per kg, according to Fibre2Fashion&#**;s market insight tool TexPro.
