  • Cotton yarn prices remained stable across north India, with average demand from the weaving industry.
  • In Ludhiana, varied cotton yarn types were traded at specific prices, with better demand for polyester-cotton blends.
  • Delhi's market also saw steady prices and average demand. Panipat's recycled yarn market experienced slow demand and stable prices.

In the Ludhiana market, cotton yarn prices did not see any significant movement today. The market has not witnessed major buying from weaving industry. A trader from the Ludhiana market told Fibre2Fashion, “Currently, the market noticed better demand for polyester-cotton yarn. There was average buying of cotton yarn, but recent rains and snow fall will improve market sentiments. It is because retailers will be able to clear their old stock, and have to buy fresh stock, which is better for entire value chain.”

In Ludhiana, ** count cotton combed yarn was sold at &#****;***-*** per kg (GST inclusive); ** and ** count combed yarn were traded at &#****;***-*** per kg and &#****;***-*** per kg respectively; and carded yarn of ** count was noted at ***-*** per kg, according to *f_homepage_tpblock&utm_medium=logo&utm_campaign=texpro_****" target="_blank">Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro.
