Export orders support spinners in north India, cotton yarn prices up

The Ludhiana market observed an increase of &#****;*-* per kg in cotton yarn prices. Although domestic demand was not particularly strong, the mills found support from export orders. Gulshan Jain, a trader from the Ludhiana market, told Fibre2Fashion, "Mills were reluctant to reduce prices despite weak sentiments in the market. They have sufficient orders for cotton yarn for the next two months, so they were not under pressure to sell yarn in the local markets." 

In Ludhiana, ** count cotton combed yarn was sold at &#****;***-*** per kg (GST inclusive), while ** and ** count combed yarn were traded at &#****;***-*** per kg and &#****;***-*** per kg, respectively.
