PC yarn prices firmed up in Ludhiana due to rising cotton costs, while polyester yarn remained under pressure amid sluggish seasonal demand, especially in Surat. Viscose yarn prices rose on higher fibre costs and better demand in Surat, though buying stayed muted in Mumbai due to payment constraints and costlier imports.

The Ludhiana market recorded a &#****;* per kg rise in PC yarn prices due to higher cotton prices. However, polyester yarn prices remained stable amid weak demand. A trader from Ludhiana told Fibre*Fashion, “PC yarn showed better sentiment, and demand may increase in the coming summer season. Expensive cotton has also encouraged buying of PC yarn. However, polyester yarn faced slow demand as its consumption declines during the summer season.”
