  • Reliance, India's leading polyester chain player, has raised the prices of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and MELT after a week-long pause, with monoethylene glycol (MEG) prices remaining steady.
  • The price adjustments come in the wake of a QCO restricting imports.
  • According to sources, PTA is now ₹**.**0 per kg, MEG remains at ₹**.**0, and MELT is ₹**.**1.

Just last week, the company had cut prices for PTA and MELT whilst keeping MEG prices stable. Previously, it had augmented the prices of PSF from &#****;* to &#****;*** per kilogramme for the current fortnight.

According to market sources, RIL has set the prices as follows: PTA at &#****;**.** per kilogramme (an increase of &#****;*.**), MEG at &#****;**.** per kilogramme (unchanged), and MELT at &#****;**.** per kilogramme (an increase of &#****;*.**). These new prices for polyester raw materials will take effect from the upcoming Saturday.
