Low demand pushes PC & poly spun yarn prices down in Ludhiana

The viscose yarn market in Surat and Mumbai is facing pressure due to lacklustre festival demand. Some traders attribute this strain to overproduction within the country. 

The Ludhiana market has recorded a downward trend in the prices of PC and poly-spun yarn. According to traders, the market is grappling with a financial crunch due to significant fabric imports. One trader told Fibre2Fashion, "The prices of PC and poly-spun yarn have fallen due to decreased demand from the weaving industry. Buyers are hesitant because of the payment crunch, while unchecked fabric imports continue to flow into the country."
