A trader from Delhi told Fibre2Fashion, “Spinning mills and stockists are struggling to find buyers and are being forced to reduce prices. After the summer season, India’s cotton-based textile value chain becomes more export-dependent, as domestic consumers shift to cheaper polyester garments. But the ongoing US–Iran–Israel conflict has cast a shadow on export demand from Western markets.”
