The Ludhiana market saw steadiness in cotton yarn prices. There was limited buying from the consumer industry and export market. The market had seen a rise of &#****;* per kg last week after the MSP hike. A trader from the Ludhiana market told Fibre2Fashion, "There was no support from buyers to raise prices this week. Earlier, the mills had increased yarn prices after the MSP hike. Cotton was also traded higher in the open market, but yarn prices did not find support. The garment industry is not getting sufficient orders from local and global brands."

In Ludhiana, ** count cotton combed yarn was sold at &#****;***-*** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg (inclusive of GST); ** and ** count combed yarn were traded at &#****;***-*** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg and &#****;***-*** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg, respectively; and carded yarn of ** count was noted at &#****;***-*** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg today, according to trade sources.
