In Ludhiana, cotton yarn prices dropped by &#****;* per kg as mills and stockists reduced selling rates, though domestic demand showed no improvement. Export demand, however, is expected to strengthen soon. A Ludhiana trader told Fibre2Fashion, “Cotton prices are coming down, which is good for spinning mills. Cheaper raw material has helped cut production costs. Lower production has improved prospects for export orders.”
