The Delhi cotton yarn market is facing a payment crisis, which is affecting demand from the consuming industry. Traders and stockists are struggling to hold prices at current levels. The removal of QCOs from the polyester chain is also seen as a negative factor, although there has been no immediate impact on cotton yarn trading. A trader from Delhi told Fibre*Fashion, “Cotton yarn trade has already been facing slow demand and payment constraints. Polyester products will be cheaper after removal of QCOs. It may affect the consumption pattern of cotton yarn in the long run.”
