Poly-spun yarn gains in Surat; bearish demand for PC & viscose yarn

However, polyester spun market was steady in Ludhiana market of north India. The market noted stability in polyester-cotton (PC) yarn prices also. Trade experts hinted that weaving industry has stocked sufficiently for the coming summer season. Therefore, PC and polyester yarn demand stagnated. Further demand will depend on movement in fabric market. Presently, fabric market is not getting good demand from the garment industry.

Viscose yarn prices were stable in Surat and Mumbai market. Presence of huge stocks in viscose value chain served as a bearish factor for the market.
