Polyester, PC & viscose yarn prices up amid fibre hike & high demand

In the Ludhiana market, polyester and PC yarn prices continued to rise by &#****;*-* per kg last week. A trader from Ludhiana market told Fibre2Fashion, “Recently, prominent fibre manufacturers increased the prices of polyester fibre by &#****;* per kg. However, yarn prices for these varieties have increased by up to &#****;* per kg. The market also witnessed better demand from the downstream industry.”

In Ludhiana, ** count PC combed yarn (**/**) traded at &#****;***-*** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg (GST inclusive); ** count PC carded yarn (**/**) at &#****;***-*** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg; ** recycled polyester fibre yarn at &#****;***-*** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg; ** count polyester spun at &#****;***-*** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg (GST inclusive); and recycled polyester fibre (PET bottle fibre) at &#****;**-** (approximately $*.**-*.**) per kg, as per trade sources.
