  • India's polyester yarn and fibre market weakened further as domestic producers cut prices to match global declines following QCO removal and softer crude oil. Surat remained under pressure from slow demand, while Mumbai strengthened due to costlier imports amid rupee depreciation. Viscose trends diverged across regions. In north India, cotton prices rose as CCI purchased a large share of arrivals.

Polyester spun yarn prices eased by another &#****;* per kg as virgin PSF producers again reduced fibre prices. Recycled polyester fibre also fell by &#****;* per kg as producers aligned with the pricing trend of virgin PSF. A Ludhiana-based trader told Fibre*Fashion, “QCO is still a pressure factor for the entire polyester value chain. Buyers are reluctant to build up stock. They prefer to remain ‘hand to mouth’ as they wait for price stability.”
