In Mumbai, cotton yarn prices continued to hover at previous levels, with the market seeing persistently weak demand from the consumer industry. A trader from the Mumbai market told Fibre*Fashion, “Power looms and auto looms are utilising just ** per cent of their capacity as they are facing poor lifting from the garment industry. Summer garment manufacturing is still very slow due to a payment crunch.”

In Mumbai, ** carded yarn of warp and weft varieties were traded at &#****;*,***-*,*** (~$**.**-**.**) and &#****;*,***-*,*** per * kg (~$**.**-**.**) (excluding GST), respectively.
