  • Cotton yarn prices in Mumbai, Tiruppur and Gujarat remained stable due to low demand.
  • Traders and market experts expressed concern over the mills' future, struggling with high cotton costs and lacklustre demand.
  • There's no anticipated uptick in demand for the upcoming festival season, raising fears that the sluggish market trend may persist.

In Tiruppur, cotton yarn prices have remained stable, largely due to tepid demand from the weaving industry. The garment sector has also seen limited fabric purchases. Both export and domestic garment demand continue to be bearish. A trader from Tiruppur told Fibre2Fashion, "Buyers are extremely cautious with new purchases, acquiring yarn only for immediate needs. The absence of expected price increases serves as a deterrent for striking new deals."

Prices in the Tiruppur market were noted as ** count combed cotton yarn at &#****;***-*** per kg (excluding GST), ** count combed cotton yarn at &#****;***-*** per kg, ** count combed cotton yarn at &#****;***-*** per kg, ** count carded cotton yarn at &#****;***-*** per kg, ** count carded cotton yarn at &#****;***-*** per kg and ** count carded cotton yarn at &#****;***-*** per kg, according to *f_homepage_tpblock&utm_medium=logo&utm_campaign=texpro_****" target="_blank">Fibre2Fashion&#**;s market insight tool TexPro.
