  • Cotton yarn trade in south India remains subdued with stable prices in Mumbai and Tiruppur, affected by slow buying and production halts due to the Pongal festival.
  • Mills and traders anticipate a demand revival after holidays, mirroring optimism in Mumbai.
  • Prices remain flat, but there is cautious hope for increased production and demand later in the month.

A trader from Mumbai told Fibre2Fashion, "Spinning mills are feeling pressure due to slow buying from the weaving industry. They are unable to increase prices as buyers are discouraged by higher rates. The fabric market also noted weak sentiments."
