Next month Technical Absorbents (TAL) will travel to India to participate in Filtrex Asia 2011. The two day exhibition and conference, created specifically for the filtration industry, will take place at the Eros Hilton Hotel in New Delhi, 5-6 December.

Organised by EDANA (the leading association and voice of the nonwovens and related industries) and Business Co-ordination House (BCH), Filtrex Asia is a high-level conference that has been created to support the expected filtration market growth across the Indian subcontinent and throughout Asia.

In addition to a table-top exhibition, a two-day programme of conferences has been planned. Topics to be covered include: new filter media technologies, market trends, air filtration, liquid filtration, gas filtration, emission control and legislation and water treatment. On the second day, TAL Business Development Manager Dave Hill will present a paper about Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF®) and its integration as a key technology for advanced filter media development.

“Filtration is a growing market for SAF®,” explains Mr Hill, “our focus being the extraction of water from aviation fuel, diesel and hydraulic oil. TAL is already working with some leading names from within these sectors in North America and Europe and already aware of the huge potential for its technology in India and Asia. Filtrex will provide a targeted platform to promote the benefits of using a fibrous super absorbent within the industry as opposed to powders, and the new and innovative types of filter media that can be achieved as a result.”
