PolyOne Corporation, a premier global provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, has appointed John Midea as the senior vice president for global operations and process improvement.

Prior to joining PolyOne, Midea was president and CEO at Resco Products, a private equity refractory products company. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in marine engineering, and he spent six years in the US Navy as a submarine officer. Midea also earned an MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
