BASF, one of the world’s leading chemical companies, has increased prices for all polyamide 6 base polymers and caprolactam (CPL) in Europe, with immediate effect or as soon as existing contract allow.

According to a BASF statement, the prices for all polyamide 6 base polymer grades (for film, fibre and compounding applications) and the polyamide intermediate caprolactam will increase in Europe by €128 per metric ton for each product.

“The price increase is necessary due to the steep raw material price increase,” BASF said. (RKS)
