Big names in retail to speak at NRF convention

Big names in retail, technology and business will converge at the 109th annual convention of the National Retail Federation (NRF) in New York City in January to present their forward-thinking ideas to 38,000 retailers from nearly 100 countries. The National Retail Federation is the largest retail trade association. It has its headquarters in Washington, DC.

“Retail continues its ongoing, fast paced transformation, evolving in order to meet changing expectations of customers, incorporating new technologies, creating jobs and investing in the future,” NRF president and CEO Matthew Shay said.

“NRF 2020 provides a platform for attendees to understand the vision and hear insights from retail’s most talented leaders on how to succeed in business through innovative thinking and smart investments,” Shay added.

Mastercard president and CEO Ajay Banga who has worked across the consumer packaged goods, banking and payments sectors is among the speakers at the NRF 2020 Vision: Retail’s Big Show. He helps to deliver a global view of the trends and issues facing businesses of all sizes, through his work with The Cyber Readiness Institute and the International Chamber of Commerce, while leading Mastercard over the past decade.

Other speakers include Sam’s Club president and CEO John Furner, Crate and Barrel CEO Neela Montgomery, Walmart eCommerce US president and CEO Marc Lore, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives (2015-2019) Paul Ryan, and Hudson’s Bay Company CEO Helena Foulkes. (SV)
