In more detailed metrics, the country’s business activity-sales index over the past three months showed a slight dip, moving from 124.5 in August to 123.8 in September, a decrease of 0.5 per cent. Despite this slight contraction, optimism remains as the business activity-sales expectation over the next three months registered a notable uptick. The index rose from 123.2 in August to 131.1 in September, demonstrating a 6.5 per cent growth, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a press release.
Additionally, Turkiye’s current volume of stock index, which gauges the inventory levels of retailers, also showed improvement. The index rose from 95.2 in August to 98.2 in September, marking a 3.2 per cent increase.
