Turkiye's retail sales up 28.5% YoY in June 2023

In June 2023, Turkiye's retail sales volume increased by 28.5 per cent YoY, with non-food (excluding fuel) rising by 32.0 per cent and fuel sales by 19.4 per cent.
Compared to the previous month, sales volume decreased by 0.1 per cent, according to TurkStat.
Retail turnover with current prices increased 73.0 per cent YoY and 4.2 per cent monthly.

Turkiye’s retail sales volume with constant prices (2015=100) increased by 28.5 per cent year-on-year (YoY) in June 2023. In the same month, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 32.0 per cent, while automotive fuel sales increased by 19.4 per cent.

In the same month, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales decreased by 1.3 per cent, while automotive fuel sales decreased by 0.1 per cent, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a press release.

The country’s retail turnover with current prices (2015=100) increased by 73.0 per cent in June 2023 compared with the same month of the previous year. In the same month, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 96.2 per cent and automotive fuel sales increased by 3.2 per cent.
