Korean concept retail store Kioda, based in Malaysia, plans to open close to 300 stores in India by 2021. It has already entered into a partnership with Franchise India, which plans to invest $10 million for marketing and expansion. Kioda will source 25-30 per cent of the items it sells from India, while the rest will be imported from Malaysia.

Kioda offers a range of products that includes scarves, mittens, leather products, hats, textile items and more. The stores boast a Korean concept and experience.

Apart from Malaysia, Kioda stores are also present in Singapore and China. The company plans to open its stores in 13 more countries by next year, according to media reports.

Franchise India singed the joint venture agreement with Kioda at the Master Franchise Show, which was attended by over 500 companies. (KD)
