The Cooperatives Commission of Malaysia's (CCM) Kelantan branch has expressed its willingness to extend financial assistance of up to one million RM to the Koperasi Persatuan Pembatik Kelantan to enable it to establish a Batik made-to-order clothing store.

CCM stated that its move is aimed at persuading the cooperative to expand its business capacity in the batik industry while safeguarding the consumers and developing the domestic batik market.

The cooperative had in the past mulled setting up a first batik made-to-order store at its Kampung Sireh based premises.

However, the cooperative did not have enough funds to set up the batik centre.
