As a part of its business expansion plan, British fashion retailer Peacocks has penetrated in the Bulgarian retail landscape with launch of its first outlet in Sofia.

The company stated that the move came as a part of company's plan to expand its business in Eastern Europe and Balkans, and it would shortly open outlets in other cities too.

It said that it aims to expand in larger cities in Bulgaria, and proposes to open outlets in cities like Sofia, Rousse, Plovdiv and Varna.

The retail chain operates over 700 outlets across 21 countries, which features fashion and casual wear collections for men, women and children. Peacocks places itself amongst the mid-and-lower priced fashion chain.

Greek firm Fourlis, which won franchise rights for countries in the region, would develop Peacocks' chain in Bulgaria. Fourlis already marks its presence in Bulgaria through brands like Intersport and IKEA.
