Luxury brand Marc Cain to hike Indian retail footprint

Germany-based women's fashion luxury clothing brand – Marc Cain plans to open five more Indian outlets in the current fiscal year.

Marc Cain currently operates two outlets in Mumbai and buoyed by the demand for luxury products, plans to open one more in Mumbai.

Alongside, it also will open two outlets in Delhi and one each in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Punit Agarwal – Marc Cain franchisee store owner for India, also plans to unveil outlets in the Middle East countries like Kuwait and Qatar. The franchisee already operates a store in Dubai.

He expects each new store in India to generate revenues of Rs 50-60 million in the first year of operation.

The Marc Cain Indian operations have posted an annual growth rate of 100% in the last five years on back of a demand for luxury goods growing at 22-25 percent per year.
