Chinese company EVE Group, which became the first menswear brand to enter London Fashion Week, plans to foray in London next year.

The company will invest £10 million to establish its London headquarters.

Xia Hua, Chairperson of the Group, said the firm wants to become China’s McQueen, on the lines of the brand of the late British designer Alexander McQueen.

While several Western brands have achieved commercial success in China, very few Chinese brands have achieved equal success in Western markets.

Hua said she would like to see high-quality products that are designed and made in China on commercial streets in the UK.

The firm is currently in negotiations with Harrods and Selfridges for its entry into London.
