After introducing its ‘Force’ menswear denim brand in India’s eastern market towards the end of last year, Kolkata-based hosiery manufacturer Dollar Industries is now planning to introduce the brand across the country.

The company said it received good response for its mid-segment ‘Force’ brand in eastern part of the country, and it will soon introduce the brand in other states, including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

The firm will use its own distribution network for increasing sales of men’s denim-wear through smaller stores and multi-brand outlets (MBOs). In addition, it will try to rope in a retail chain for sale of its denims all across the country.

The company has set up two denim production units – one each at Delhi and Howrah – with an investment of about Rs. 50 million.

Dollar already sells gym vests and T-shirts under the ‘Force’ brand name.

Last fiscal, the company earned revenues of about Rs. 4.5 billion, of which around nine percent came from exports to the Middle East.
