The US-based bohemian-inspired retail clothier Free People has penetrated the overseas market by launching its debut UK e-commerce site.

The Pennsylvania-based affordable clothing brand, known for its hippy-styled ensembles, plans to further expand in the UK through wholesale partnerships and by appointing stockists.

The brand’s newly unveiled online store features its signature range of gypsy-style cotton dresses, colourful lacy briefs and stylishly patterned knits.

Founded in 1970, Free People is a subsidiary of the publicly traded American company Urban Outfitters, Inc., which operates over 400 retail locations with five brands that include Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain and BHLDN.
