“In keeping with our Heritage Modern theme we used top performance fabrications and added unique details, such as pockets for portable media devices,” said Suzanne Timmins, Fashion Director, Hbc. “We talked to our athletes, made them part of our design process, and the response from them has been amazing.”
Canadians can own a piece of the Olympics, with the official replica line of products available at Hbc. From t-shirts to yoga wear, jewellery and boots, Hbc has put together a stellar collection of high quality, durable clothing at affordable prices. Hbc encourages all Canadians to wear their pride.
“We put together a world class team of designers to create fashion forward, high tech and durable products for the athletes,” said Tu Ly, one of the designers of Hbc's Olympic clothing line. “These items also had to transfer well into a product line that every Canadian can have a piece of, and be proud to wear. It gives me a charge to walk down the street and see Canadians from every walk of life wearing a piece of the Olympics.”
Hbc's partnership with the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC) and the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), which runs from 2005 until 2012, establishes Hbc as the exclusive general merchandise retail partner to the Olympic Games in Canada.
