eBay invites Indian businessmen to market their goods across the world, says Meg Whitman, President and CEO of eBay.
Appreciating spirit of Indian entrepreneurs, Whitman revealed to media that India's flourishing economy is accelerating the growth of internet and especially e-commerce.
She also believes as more and more consumers are accepting internet, young Indian businessmen can take advantage of this trend.
eBay platform is to sell apparel, jewellery, handicrafts to thousand of buyers globally, said Gautam Thakar, Country Manager, India, eBay.
Thakar also added that every nine minutes, Indian seller sells an item to a global buyer.
eBay India proposes to raise its business by over four times and increases its market share from the present 35 percent to more than 50 percent in the next two to three years.
It expects considerable growth through exports to English-speaking countries like the US, UK, Canada, besides Germany, he said.
