Aktieselskabet Af, a Danish clothing company, has filed suit against one of China's largest e-commerce websites, eBay Eachnet in the Shanghai No 1 Intermediate Court.

Company alleged that eBay Eachnet provided platform for selling forged goods and demanded public apology as well as 200,000 yuan (US$24,691) in compensation.

Danish company has said it had acquired the rights of several brands in 2004 and allowed Best Seller Garment (Tianjin) Co Ltd to produce and sell with the trademarks.

Company alleged that plenty of forfeited clothes have been sold on eBay at half the price of originals.

Company's lawyer Yang Jiqing said some stores have been trading on eBay's platform claiming Only Supermarket and Vero Moda Franchise.

He also stated even after sending notice to eBay, it was providing platform to its user to sell fake clothing.
