Among the Member States for which data are available, total retail trade increased in Estonia (+2.2 percent), Belgium (+2.0 percent), Finland (+1.7 percent), Denmark (+1.6 percent), Latvia (+1.4 percent), Slovakia (+1.3 percent), Lithuania (1.0 percent), the United Kingdom (+0.7 percent), Spain (+0.4 percent) and Cyprus (+0.2 percent), while falls were recorded in Germany (-2.7 percent), Portugal (-1.9 percent), Austria (-1.4 percent), Poland (-0.6 percent), Sweden (-0.2 percent), France and Luxembourg (both -0.1 percent).
