McDonald's children clothing loses savour in China

Food giant McDonald's has failed to satiate clothing needs of children in China as the first children clothing shop, opened in 2004 in Shanghai under the brand name Mckids has not fetched rich profit.

Experts said McDonald's has diversified its management in wrong direction. McDonald's is a chain of shops to supply fast food and Mckids is a brand of children clothing, so it is very difficult for McDonald's to support its junior Mckids brand.

Recently, McDonald's expressed that Mckids brand would increase its presence in Chinese general marketplaces by setting up independent franchised shops in big supermarkets.
