Chafa-Govha, a native of the Copper Belt in Zambia, travels twice a year in Africa and collects clothing, accessories, furniture, artifacts etc. for her store.
She has been designing clothes since she was 18 and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York and the former International Fine Arts College (IFAC) in Miami.
She designs her own Chafa-Govha collection, which has traditional African fabrics like ashoke from Nigeria, and raffia cloth from the Congo, along with silk, chiffon and denim.
Her collection also includes necklaces with precious stones of Morocco and Mauritania, headdresses from Cameroon and wooden crafts from South Africa.
