Retailer Target to launch 60 new stores

Minneapolis-based Target Corporation announced the grand opening of 60 new Target stores. This marks the largest mass opening in the retailer's history.

New Target stores will open in the following cities on October 9:

Three additional stores in Ft. Myers, FL, Sawgrass, FL and Vernon Hills, IL will open by the end of the month.

In addition to offering the latest in trend-right merchandise, Target also brings a 43-year tradition of community involvement.

Target demonstrates its commitment to its team members, guests and the communities it serves by donating more than $2 million each week to area nonprofit organizations, becoming involved in local volunteerism efforts through Target Volunteers, and orchestrating other special projects that help meet area social service, arts and education needs.

Retailer Target will serve guests at 1,400 stores in 47 states nationwide by delivering today's best retail trends at affordable prices. Target is committed to providing guests with great design through innovative products, in-store experiences and community partnerships. Target gives back more than $2 million a week to its local communities through grants and special programs. Since opening its first store in 1962, Target has partnered with nonprofit organizations, guestsand team members to help meet community needs.
