Watches and jewellery retailer Titan has forayed into retailing of premium saris and ethnicwear, by opening its first pilot store in Bangalore under the name of ‘Taneira’. The store has on its shelves a collection of handloom saris and ethnicwear sourced from across the country, with products priced as high as Rs 250,000, available in the Bangalore store.
“Taneira has tied up with about 200 suppliers from various textile clusters of India and is also working closely with designers and weavers,” Ajoy Chawla, senior vice president (strategy and business incubation) at Titan was quoted as saying by a news agency.Watches and jewellery retailer Titan has forayed into retailing of premium saris and ethnicwear, by opening its first pilot store in Bangalore under the name of 'Taneira'.
