  • The CPI for all US urban consumers rose by 0.2 per cent month on month (MoM) on a seasonally-adjusted basis in July, after rising by 0.3 per cent MoM in June.
  • The all items index rose by 2.7 per cent YoY in the month before seasonal adjustment, after rising by 2.7 per cent YoY in June.
  • The energy index fell by 1.1 per cent MoM and 1.6 per cent YoY in July, after rising by 0.9 per cent MoM in June.
The consumer price index for all US urban consumers (CPI-U) increased by 0.2 per cent month on month (MoM) on a seasonally-adjusted basis in July, after rising by 0.3 per cent MoM in June, according to the Bureau of Labour Statistics (BLS).

Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased by 2.7 per cent in the month before seasonal adjustment, after rising by 2.7 per cent year on year (YoY) in June.

The index for energy fell by 1.1 per cent MoM and 1.6 per cent YoY in July, after rising by 0.9 per cent MoM in June.

The index for all items less food and energy rose by 0.3 per cent MoM and 3.1 per cent YoY in the month, following a 0.2-per cent MoM increase in June, a BLS release said.
