Inflation in Bangladesh eases slightly to 8.17% in Oct 2025

Bangladesh’s general point-to-point inflation rate eased to 8.17 per cent in October this year from 8.36 per cent in September, according to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

This slight decline was attributed primarily to a downtrend in food inflation, which eased slightly to 7.08 per cent in the month from 7.64 per cent in September.

The non-food inflation rate, however, increased to 9.13 per cent in October from 8.98 per cent in the preceding month, domestic media outlet reported.

Meanwhile, inflation in the rural areas declined, while it witnessed a slight rise in urban areas last month.
