Philippines' headline inflation at 1.7% in Oct

The Philippines’ headline inflation in October this year was 1.7 per cent, the same annual growth rate recorded in September 2025, according to the Philippine Statistical agency (PSA). Inflation in October 2024 was 2.3 per cent.

A faster annual increase was observed in the index of clothing and footwear during the month: 1.8 per cent from 1.7 per cent in September.

Core inflation, which excludes selected food and energy items, slowed down to 2.5 per cent in October from 2.6 per cent in September. In October 2024, core inflation was 2.4 per cent, a PSA release said.
