Advance estimates of US retail and food services sales for October this year were $732.6 billion, adjusted for seasonal variation and holiday and trading-day differences, but not for price changes, according to the Census Bureau. The figure was virtually unchanged from the previous month, and up by 3.5 per cent year on year (YoY).Such sales for the August-October 2025 period were up by 4.2 per cent YoY.

Retail trade sales in the month were up by 0.1 per cent MoM and 3.4 per cent YoY.
The August-September 2025 per cent change was revised from a 0.2-per cent rise to a 0.1-per cent rise YoY.
Retail trade sales in the month were up by 0.1 per cent month on month (MoM) and 3.4 per cent YoY. Sales by non-store retailers were up by 9 per cent YoY.
