Poland's July retail sales up 4.8%, clothing leads growth

Retail sales in July 2025 rose 4.8 per cent year-on-year (YoY) at constant prices, up from 4.4 per cent growth in July 2024, while month-on-month (MoM) sales increased 4.4 per cent over June.

In January–July 2025, sales grew 3.3 per cent compared with 4.9 per cent a year earlier. Seasonally adjusted, July sales were 4.4 per cent higher YoY but flat versus June, Statistics Poland said in a release.

One of the strongest areas was textiles, clothing, and footwear, which surged 14.7 per cent compared to July 2024. Online retail sales grew 2.5 per cent YoY in value, though their share of total sales edged down to 8.6 per cent from 8.8 per cent.

However, the textiles, clothing, and footwear group increased its online sales share from 22.5 per cent to 23.4 per cent.
