China's Oct retail sales grow faster; industrial output up 5.3% YoY

In the first 10 months this year, such sales expanded by 3.5 per cent YoY—0.2 percentage points higher than the January-September period.

The country’s value-added industrial output expanded by 5.3 per cent YoY and by 0.41 per cent month on month in October, a state-controlled media outlet reported citing NBS data. During the January-October period, it rose by 5.8 per cent YoY.

The industrial output measures the activity of enterprises each with an annual main business turnover of at least $2.8 million.
