Seasonally adjusted, consumer prices were stable in September, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE).
Year on year (YoY), consumer prices in the country went up by 1.2 per cent in September after a 0.9-per cent YoY rise in August. Prices of manufactured products fell slightly faster YoY than in August: minus 0.4 per cent after minus 0.3 per cent.
Core inflation stood at 1.3 per cent in September, after being 1.2 per cent in August.
Prices of energy fell by 4.4 per cent YoY in September 2025, after a 6.2-per cent YoY drop in August, an INSEE release said.
Clothing and footwear prices increased by 3.3 per cent MoM and 0.6 per cent YoY in September.
