Italy's business confidence index rises to 109.1 in Jul 2023

The economic climate fell from 127.6 to 123.4 in the month, the future one worsened from 118.4 to 115, and the current one shrank 102 to 101.

The confidence climate in manufacturing reduced from 100.2 to 99.3 in the month.

The market services confidence climate during the month got better, passing from 103.7 to 105.6, a release from Istat said.

Compared to the previous survey, firms improved their assessments and expectations on order books and on business trend.

The retail trade confidence index started to increase again, moving from 110.5 to 111.2 during the month. The assessments on current business conditions improved, whereas expectations on future business activity worsened; inventories were considered to have built up.
