No MoM change in Italy's CPI for apparel-footwear in June, 1% YoY rise

The CPI for clothing and footwear did not see any change MoM and rose by 1 per cent YoY in June.

The YoY growth rate of prices of non-regulated energy products increased from minus 13.5 per cent to minus 10.3 per cent and of regulated energy products increased from 0.7 per cent to 3.5 per cent in June.

In June, both core inflation (excluding energy and unprocessed food) and inflation excluding energy slowed down from 2 per cent to 1.9 per cent.

The YoY growth rate for goods prices in June was minus 0.7 per cent compared to minus 0.9 per cent in May.

In June, the rate of change of the Italian harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) was 0.2 per cent MoM and 0.9 per cent YoY (from 0.8 per cent in May).
