Rate of change of Italian CPI up 0.2% MoM, 0.8% YoY in May

In May 2024, both core inflation (excluding energy and unprocessed food) as well as inflation excluding energy slowed down to 2 per cent from 2.1 per cent in April.

The YoY growth rate for CPI goods was minus 0.9 per cent in May from minus 0.6 per cent in April.

The rate of change of the Italian harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) was 0.2 per cent MoM and 0.8 per cent YoY in May, confirming the flash estimate.
