The index for non-food products fell by 3.5 per cent on a monthly basis, official statistics show.
In February, the index at constant prices, once adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, registered a variation of 4 per cent compared with the same month of the previous year. This was 1.5 points lower than the one registered in January.
The seasonally- and calendar-adjusted index, excluding service stations, registered an annual variation of 3.1 per cent in February. The index for non-food products increased by 9.3 per cent.
