TJX Companies reports $41.7 bn sales in FY20

The TJX Companies, a leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions, reported 10 per cent increase in net sales to $12.2 billion in Q4 FY20 compared to same period prior year. Net sales for complete FY20 that ended on February 1, 2019 grew 7 per cent to $41.7 billion compared to same period prior year. Net income for complete year was $3.3 billion.
 
Consolidated comparable store sales increased 6 per cent. Net income for the fourth quarter was $985 million. 
 
Sales of Marmaxx which includes Sierra's e-commerce and store sales increased 6 per cent in Q4 to $7,402 million and 5 per cent in FY20 to $25,665 million. HomeGoods sales includes Homesense stores in US, increased 5 per cent in Q4 to $1,952 million and 2 per cent in FY20 to $6,356 million. TJX Canada net sales increased 4 per cent in Q4 to $1,135 million and 2 per cent in FY20 to $4,031 million. TJX International's (Europe & Australia) net sales increased 10 per cent in Q4 to $1,718 million and 8 per cent in FY20 to $5,665 million.
 
During FY20, TJX increased its store count by 223 stores to a total of 4,529 stores.
