Vietnam’s retail sales revenue of goods in the first quarter (Q1) this year were an estimated $50.4 billion—up by 8.8 per cent year on year (YoY) and accounting for 76.8 per cent of the total retail sales value of consumer products and services during the quarter, according to the National Statistics Office (NSO).Retail sales garments rose by 6.9 per cent YoY in the quarter and by 5.7 per cent YoY in March alone.
The increase was attributed to high consumption demand during the Lunar New Year festival and holidays, a domestic media outlet reported.
